Pre-K-12th Grade Osage Youth Eligible to Receive $250 for Clothing, Supplies, Tech Assistance

OSAGE NATION SERVICE AREA, OKLA. (December 13, 2022) – Osage youth, Pre-K through 12th Grade, are eligible to receive $250 for school clothing, supplies, and technology assistance beginning in 2023. The application opens on January 1, 2023 and closes on May 1, 2023 for the academic year (2022-23 school year). The Osage Nation Education Department is facilitating this brand new program, which is intended to be an annual benefit for Osage families with school-aged children. 

“We recognize that the costs of a new school year can be stressful for families,” said Osage Nation Education Director Mary Wildcat. “The Osage Nation Financial Assistance Services for School Clothing, Supplies and Technology Program provides critical financial assistance to support our families, so students can have what they need to reach their educational goals.” 

Applications will open for the new academic school year on January 1, 2023 at www.osagenation-nsn.gov/services/education/school-assistance and remain open until May 1, 2023.

Students must meet all eligibility requirements and submit a complete application by May 1, 2023 to receive the $250 financial assistance. The application allows for families with multiple school-aged children to be submitted in one form. 

Eligibility requirements include: 

  • Student(s) must be a legally enrolled member of the Osage Nation. 
  • Student(s) must be enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. 
  • Student(s) must be enrolled in a public, home school, provide, charter or boarding school. 
  • Student must provide a verification of enrollment that meets the requirements of the program’s policy. 

Applications are not considered complete until all required documents have been submitted for each student and will be processed in the order received. 

The Osage Nation Education Department strives to provide educational and supportive services to Osages so they can obtain the skills needed to become productive individuals and contributors to their community.
