Osage Nation Back-to-School Resources for Students and Parents (PreK-12)
Back-to-school time is here! The Osage Nation Education Department has various resources for students and parents to support academic success. Please review the list below and make a plan to kick off the new academic year with a plan to accomplish your goals.
Nationwide Academic Tutoring Program (NATP) / Tutor.com - The Nationwide Academic Tutoring Program (NATP) Tutor.com has expanded to include eligible Osage students in 3rd grade to post-secondary educational programs. Tutor.com provides 24-hour access to personalized one-on-one online tutoring in over 250 subject areas. The requirements for student eligibility include a complete application, an Osage membership card, and enrollment in 3rd – post-secondary academic programs nationwide.

Johnson O'Malley (JOM) – This program provides supplementary financial assistance to meet the unique and specialized needs of American Indian students enrolled in one of the public schools served by the Osage Nation. Parents of new students need to submit their student application form and copy of tribal membership card/document to Avis Ballard, JOM Coordinator, electronically (aballard@osagenation-nsn.gov) or through mail (PO Box 250 in Hominy 74035). This also includes students who recently moved to a new school within Osage County.

Osage Nation School Support Program (ONSSP) – This program provides comprehensive academic services to legally enrolled members of the Osage Nation (Pre-K-12). A tribal education advocate will monitor students' grades and attendance, obtain tutoring if needed, and help the student navigate the college search. This applies to students who attend a public or private school within Osage County.
College Entrance Assistance Program - The College Entrance Assistance Program (CEAP) serves Osage members nationwide as they seek entrance into higher education institutions. High school students may receive financial support for ACT/SAT prep workshop/materials fee, ACT/SAT test fee, advance placement (AP) exam fee, and college application fees.

Financial Assistance Services for School Clothing, Supplies, and Technology - ONED recognizes that starting a new school year can be stressful for our Osage families. This program provides funding to Osage families for school clothing, supplies, and technical assistance. The program is available for all legally enrolled members of the Osage Nation who attend pre-kindergarten through twelfth (Pre-K-12th) grade to assist with school clothing, school supplies, and school technology. The 2023-2024 application is now closed. Applications for the new academic school year will open on October 1, 2024.
*Applications are to be submitted online up until the deadline of May 1 of each year or until funds are depleted.
