Osage Nation Financial Assistance Launches Utility Assistance Program
OSAGE NATION RESERVATION, OKLA. (June 24, 2024) – Various utility companies that service Osage County have increased customer charges, posing a financial challenge for Osage members. In response, the Osage Nation is stepping in to provide assistance through a Utility Assistance Program. To be eligible, you must be a legally enrolled member of the Osage Nation, reside in Osage County / Osage Reservation, and complete and submit an application.
The amount of assistance is $300 per household to the utility vendor of your choice. Applicants should submit the highest bill (electric, water, or gas); the benefit is one per household. The one-time application time frame is between June 1 and September 30th, 2024. Utility Assistance will be in the form of a paper check, issued and mailed to the utility vendor.
Eligible members for Osage Utility Assistance must:
- Reside within the boundaries of the Osage Nation Reservation (Osage County)
- Be a legally enrolled member of the Osage Nation at the time of application
- Be 18 years or older and have a utility account in their name
- Submit a completed application and attach the utility bill
