OSAGE RESERVATION, OKLA. (February 9, 2022) – The Osage Nation Education Department and Tri-County Tech hosted “Smart Money Program - Lunch & Learn,” a workshop for juniors and seniors at Pawhuska High School on Wednesday. The students received information about financial literacy to prepare them for the working world, during this pilot program. Nineteen participants enjoyed a free lunch and presentation that featured the history of money and proper budgeting skills.

Financial fitness is a component of the Oklahoma Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP) that prepares students for life after high school. Participating youth can use the Smart Money Program to achieve their goals. The Osage Nation Education Department and Tri-County Tech are excited to continue their partnership with Pawhuska Public Schools. The second course is scheduled for April 27, 2022. The goal is to include additional school districts in Osage County during the next school year.
