(April 23, 2025) - Osage Nation Real Estate Services (ONRES) has published the Wahzhazhe National Cemetery Policies and Procedures, opening plot applications for Osage Tribal Members, immediate family members, and repatriated remains. The Wahzahzhe National Cemetery is located at 1358 CR 2667 (corner of Highway 99 and County Road 2667), just south of Pawhuska, OK. It is the first Osage-owned and maintained cemetery, which includes sidewalks, newly planted trees, and sod throughout each quadrant, with roads constructed by the Osage Nation Roads Department. The Osage Nation Funeral Home is currently under construction directly north, within walking distance, of the cemetery. The Funeral Home is also a first for the Osage Nation, designed to meet the unique cultural needs of Osages.
Application(s) can be requested by contacting ONRES at (918) 287-5257 or in person at 1420 West Ave., Pawhuska, OK. Each plot costs $300, and the proceeds go directly to the care and improvement of the Wahzhazhe National Cemetery.
