OSAGE NATION RESERVATION, Okla. (November 7, 2025) - As the federal government shutdown continues, the Osage Nation remains fully operational and taking proactive measures to expand benefits and provide additional assistance to tribal members impacted by the shutdown.
Effective immediately, the Osage Nation Temporary SNAP Relief Program has been expanded beyond the Osage Nation Reservation to include all Osage households residing anywhere in the state of Oklahoma.
Eligible Osage households currently enrolled in SNAP benefits are eligible to apply for a one-time $300 assistance payment per household. This supplemental relief will not impact or reduce existing SNAP benefits.

- Go to the Osage Nation Service Portal: https://portal.osagenation-nsn.gov/
- Log in to the portal using your username and password
- Click on the Osage Nation Crisis Assistance option
- Click APPLY NOW
- Select the option that states: I am experiencing a temporary interruption of my household SNAP benefit, as a result of the federal government shutdown.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Applicants must provide their Osage membership information.
- Applicants must provide their benefit award letter along with their case number in the portal.
The Financial Assistance Department has extended its office hours until 6 p.m. this week, Monday through Friday, to support the needs of our Osage people. Please note that Osage Nation offices will be closed on Monday, November 10, and Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in observance of Veterans Day. However, applicants can apply through the service portal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As this is a developing situation, please follow communication from the Osage Nation, OKDHS, and local media.
