New Tribal ID Cards

The Osage Nation Membership Office is pleased to announce the release of new Membership ID Cards for enrolled tribal members available Sept. 1. These updated cards strengthen identity verification, improve access to Osage Nation programs, services, and events, and help the Membership Office maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Like other state and federal IDs, the new cards include a photo, a member’s signature, and key identifying information, such as sex, eye color, height, and weight. These features help ensure accurate identification while enhancing security and authenticity. The cards also recognize military service by displaying a branch of service icon, branch type, and current military status.

“This is a significant undertaking for our Membership Office, which proudly serves nearly 27,000 tribal members,” said Susan Bayro, Cabinet Secretary of Administration. “We appreciate our members’ patience and cooperation as we roll out the new cards.”

A unique feature of the Osage Nation Membership ID is the QR code on each card. The QR code links directly to the Osage Nation Service Portal (portal.osagenation-nsn.gov), where members can explore a wide range of programs, services, and resources. The cards also include members’ current physical addresses and expiration dates, helping the Membership Office keep member information accurate and up to date.

“This marks the first major update to our membership cards,” said Chris Standing Bear, Membership Director. “These new cards reflect our commitment to modernization, improved communication, member recognition, and easier access to services.”

Osage Nation membership criteria remain unchanged.  Beginning September 1st, existing members who would like a new ID card will be able to log in to the Osage Nation Service Portal where they will find a New Membership ID module.  Just submit the required information and we will mail the new card to you.

Walk-ins are always welcome during our office hours between 8 am and 4 pm, however, to avoid long wait times, we strongly urge members to utilize the portal.
