I vetoed ONCR 26-27 because the budgetary outlays contained in the resolution do not accurately reflect the appropriations enacted by Congress during this same session. An annual revenue projection must provide a clear, reliable financial framework that guides decision-making and promotes transparency. When projected expenditures differ significantly from appropriations already approved, it creates confusion about the Nation's true financial position and undermines the integrity of the budget process. The discrepancies in this resolution are substantial and cannot be overlooked. The Osage Nation deserves a budget process grounded in accuracy, accountability, and responsible financial stewardship. I remain committed to working collaboratively with Congress to ensure our financial planning reflects those principles.
