Improvements to communications infrastructure
By Osage Nation Information Services
Atlas Wireless recently completed the installation of a 100ft. communications tower at the Osage Nation Emergency Management (ONEM) location; funded in part by a grant from Enbridge.
This tower will provide high speed network services for voice and data transmissions between the ONEM building and the main Osage Nation campus in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. This will also improve UHF radio coverage for ONEM services.
The installation of this tower was integral to improving the communications connection with ONEM. The existing copper-based communications infrastructure was not proving adequate in keeping up with the demands our high speed network equipment requires. This was essential as ONEM is tasked with providing early warning notification for this area.
