Groundbreaking at Fairfax Child Care and Senior Center

FAIRFAX, Okla. (September 3, 2015) — The Osage Nation has announced an official groundbreaking ceremony date and time for a new child care and senior center to be built in Fairfax. Osage Nation dignitaries and city and county officials have been invited to attend. The public is welcome.
The new building will be situated on two acres where a juvenile facility was previously located. The earlier structure has recently been torn down and cleared away to make room for the new facility. Bruce Cass, Director of Tribal Development and Land Acquisition, said the project has been awarded to Builders Unlimited, Inc. out of Tulsa, OK and is scheduled to be complete in 340 days.
“This project is 100 percent funded by the Osage Nation to support the child care function as well as provide a place for the elders of the Fairfax and surrounding communities to gather and enjoy a meal,” said Cass.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept.9, at 6 p.m. The physical address for the groundbreaking is 401 S. 8th Street, Fairfax, Okla. 74637.
