Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program Hosting Drive-Thru Event

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program is hosting a drive-thru event on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Osage Nation Welcome Center (239 W. 12th St., Pawhuska) for Native American households within the Osage Reservation.

To assist in 2023 Annual Program Planning, the Financial Assistance Department seeks input from Osage and Native American community members. In exchange for participation in the community survey, the department will distribute in-kind materials on a first-come-first-served basis, while materials last. In-kind materials may include AC window units, box fans, HVAC filters, home weatherization bags, energy-efficient light bulbs, etc. LIHEAP households received a survey in the mail, others can download the survey below, or pick up a survey at the Welcome Center. 

Osage Nation Emergency Management will be onsite to help direct traffic. 

Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

The Energy Assistance Program operates on a fiscal year (October through September) and serves low-income Native American households within the Osage Reservation (Osage County) by providing residential energy assistance and repair to heating/cooling units. This program provides financial assistance applied to the energy bill and operates on a seasonal schedule; a heating season, cooling season and a crisis. You can find more information here.
