Osage Nation Wildland Fire Management will be holding Fire Rookie School from October 14th through the 18th. This school trains entry-level probationary firefighters. Participants must be 18 years or older to attend. There is no registration to attend. Classes are taught at the Osage Casino in Pawhuska, OK, from 8 AM to 4 PM. Wind Farm Informational Meeting by the Osage Nation which was scheduled for Thursday evening October 23 has been POSTPONED. This will be rescheduled for Mid-November, date and time TBA.

Women's History Month Event: March is Women's History Month and the 4th Osage Congress will honor former Osage Nation Congresswomen in recognition of their service to the Osage people. A small reception will follow regular session tomorrow at 10 a.m. for three resolutions; ONCR-16-16, a resolution commending Speaker Jerri Jean Bransetter; ONCR 16-17, a resolution commending Debra Atterberry; and

The Woodland JOM Parent Committee organizes an annual day of Native American Cultural education for Native American students. The days activities will be held at the Osage Grayhorse Indian Village near Fairfax, Okla. Student will form groups and rotate through cultural education stations at different Osage family traditional camps. Cultural education topics include Osage history, beadwork
