School-Based Suicide Prevention Services
Osage Nation Prevention Program offers suicide prevention services to Osage County schools at no cost through
- Mental Health Policy and Protocol Development
- Effective July1, 2022, House Bill 4106 requires every school in Oklahoma to develop a protocol governing how school staff respond to crises and refer families to treatment.
- Osage Nation Prevention Program works in collaboration with Osage County Schools to develop protocol that meets all requirements stated in HB 4106.

- Faculty Training
- Effective July 2, 2021, Senate Bill 21 requires all Oklahoma schools to provide suicide prevention training to teachers and staff. Eligible trainings are determined by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS).
- Osage Nation Prevention Program is available to organize and/or host the ODMHSAS approved suicide prevention trainings below to Osage County school teachers and staff at no cost.
