Meeting for Osage Cooks: Traditions of Hospitality and Community
Meeting for Osage Cooks: Traditions of Hospitality and Community
Pawhuska, Ok. The Osage Nation Museum is hosting an event on Saturday, January 8, 2022 for Osage Cooks. Participants will engage in a discussion on concepts of Osage hospitality. The dedication and commitment of Osage Cooks contributes to the ongoing traditional activities of our people. The beautiful order of the place settings and delicious food that is served during our gatherings represent knowledge that has been passed down for generations. Who better to consider the concept of Osage hospitality than those who have learned through a lifetime of service? This discussion will lead to ideas of Osage hospitality that the ONM can draw upon for the development of Visitor Services programming. Lunch will be provided. Open to all Osage Cooks who serve on Committees (past and present) and Family Camps
