Fingerweaving (Fairfax)
Come advance your fingerweaving skills! Participants will receive instruction and support to continue their skills, with emphasis on identifying, correcting and avoiding mistakes. New students are welcome! Limit 8 new students. Classes will be held at the Fairfax Language Center from 6-8pm Thursday nights. Classes will not begin until after Easter due to personal reason.
Fingerweaving (Hominy, Osage Education Center)
Fingerweaving! Begin or advance your finger weaving skills! This braiding technique is traditionally used in Osage culture to form wide flat pieces, such as, belts and bags. No loom required; the fingers alone manipulate the threads to form a dense fabric. Participants will receive instruction and support to continue their skills, with emphasis on identifying, correcting and avoiding mistakes
