Weather Service relies on trained volunteers to supplement doppler radar information on severe storms and tornadoes. These dedicated individuals volunteer many hours of their time to learn about and detect severe weather. Their valuable cooperation is important in the warning process. Weather reports from trained spotters are being used along with dopperler radar data to issue warning of tornadoes

Storm Spotter Training will be held at the Osage County Fairgrounds Building at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020. The address is 320 Skyline Drive, Pawhuska, OK 74056. This training will be taught by National Weather Service staff and is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
