Wildland Fire Rookie Fire School

Osage Nation Wildland Fire Management will be holding Fire Rookie School from October 14th through the 18th. This school trains entry-level probationary firefighters. Participants must be 18 years or older to attend. There is no registration to attend. Classes are taught at the Osage Casino in Pawhuska, OK, from 8 AM to 4 PM. Wind Farm Oct 23 Meeting Postponed
Wind Farm Informational Meeting by the Osage Nation which was scheduled for Thursday evening October 23 has been POSTPONED. This will be rescheduled for Mid-November, date and time TBA.

Woodland JOM Cultural Day
The Woodland JOM Parent Committee organizes an annual day of Native American Cultural education for Native American students. The days activities will be held at the Osage Grayhorse Indian Village near Fairfax, Okla. Woodland JOM School Supply Distributions
Woodland JOM school supply distribution (for JOM students enrolled at Woodland schools): Friday, August 5th at Woodland Elementary from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Parents will need to provide a copy of their child’s CDIB or tribal membership card if it is not already on file. Public Health Nursing, Fairfax Language, and the Community Health Representatives worked together to install raised garden beds at Fairfax Language Center. The project is part of the Grow, Gather, Hunt Program.
